The European Commission has recently published the Implementing Regulation of the (EU) 2024/1252 Critical Raw Materials Regulation. The Implementing Regulation establishes the list of products, components and waste streams considered as having a relevant critical raw materials recovery potential.
The importance of the list lies in the fact that under the Critical Raw Materials Regulation, within 2 years Member States have to adopt and implement national programmes to promote waste prevention/re-use/repair and increase the collection and processing of the products, components and waste streams in the list.
The (EU) 2026/1116 Implementing Regulation is available here.
